Switzerland Here I am!

So finally I am in Switzerland. It wasn't a well planned out trip as in case of most of the people traveling abroad, but for me it was. It was plagued by all sorts of problem. Firstly I had decided very late about the trip hardly 2 weeks in advance and then my biggest mistake - I choose cox and kings as my travel agent. The guys were so dam slow that my Hindi speaking guy did better job at the embassy in comparison to these so called professional travel agent. No thanks to the Cox and Kings my visa wasn't even approved by tuesday and my flight was on friday evening. Talk abt the intelligence of these guys. I had asked the agent to get me any ticket after 8:00 PM saturday. So the guy asked me if the 1:00 AM flight the next day would be fine and I said OK. So the genius thought saturday after 8:00 PM - saturday is 26th - any flight late on 26th 1:00 AM is late so 1:00 AM flight on 26th would be the best. The intelligent guy in the process didn't realise that this would mean I have to board the flight on Saturday morning not sunday morning after 8:00 PM saturday.

Well all in all after hectic work schedule, visa & ticket issue I finally made it to swiss. And as they say - its a beautiful country. Of-course unless you have not seen India.

Me and my sis on the Luzern lake.

On Sunday my bro in law and my sis took m
e to Luzern. Luzern is a beautiful old city on bay of a huge lake. Not huge by European standards though but big non the less.
The pic above was taken by my brother in law while we were waiting for our boat ride.

Sis watching on towards the lake

The view from the lake is very good. The boat we were on took us around the lake. It was all very peaceful here . Infact too peaceful for me. After being used to so much working, this sudden silence is not what I am used to any more. I mean I myself stay in a place which is too peaceful and now this........ I need some noise pollution (no wonder people here listen to rock - they have not been subjected Indian environment). Its too quiet here . People don't seem to be any mental pressure, life is relaxed and cool . Probably this is how life should ideally be. Back on where I was- ya! the trip. Satwik - my brother in law decided to head for Pilatus. Pilatus is a hill on the other end of the lake (from where we had got on), but luck had other plans. By the time we reached the place it was too late and we had to return. Mount Pilatus is something one should see once here in Luzern.

The view from the base itself was very good. The facitlities are very good and the roads too good. Perfect for biking and I had just thought about it that when I saw a R1 accelerate on the highway. The bikers here very enthusiastic.

This is me in the subway tunnel - People here do a great spray paint on the walls.

This is for now. In a hurry but for people who have been asking me a lot this is something I have done is 5-10 mins so doesn't have much.
