Is there a god out there?

Today I am asking this to myself. This not something I like to write about but I think I need to. It was a good day for me, had a great start and the work was good to. Infact everything I did was turning good. I was on my way back home through the national highway NH4. I was pleasantly riding my bike at 90-100 KMPH when in a distance I saw something. Most of the times its nothing but shadows but I still prefer to slow down. But as I reached closer I saw a pup on the road. It really saddens me everytime I see a dead animal on the road. But as I got closer I saw the pup trying desperately to cross the road, lying on his right he was trying to paddle away. It took time for me to actually get this in. I was in a mild shock as to think the pain and desperation it was going through. I stopped my bike and immediately got off. The dog needed to be taken aside and probably to the hospital. It was a curved road and all I could think was the pup. I saw a truck and another 4 wheeler approaching - I moved fast towards the pup and as soon as I reached next to where the pup was the truck ran over it. I just stood there. There was nothing I could do. Why didn't I run faster, why didn't I stop earlier. Why did that young pup had to die. Why god why? I felt so helpless. It made me question myself - is there god out there. If god's there then where is he/she?

Perhaps there ain't any god.
